The Digimon are being transported from their world to the real on and some become partners with humans. These tamed Digimon go around fighting with the wild ones keeping the normal world pretty much safe.

The Digimon Tamers are selected from people who love Digimon and are lucky enough to recieve a blue card. This card gives them a D-Arc and with that they can use the everyday battle cards to enhance their Digimons fighting abilities.

After the everyday fighting Digimon are out of the way Digimon Tamers returns to the plot of the previous seasons. Calumon -the light that enables everything to Digi-Volve is wanted by Xuanwumon in order to protect it from Chaos. It sends out the Devas to return him to the Digital World.
