At a time when the digiworld is in great peril, a new generation of digidestined are called upon to retrieve the digiworld from the depths of darkness. These digidestined do not receive normal digimon as their protectors and warriors. They are protected by digimon guardians.

It was a sunny day and Tom and his friend Mike were walking down the street towards the local library.

“Man, why do we have to study for this dumb Geography project any way? I mean, what’s the big interest in Guatemala. I don’t even know where it is.” Mike said with his hands dug deep down inside his pockets.

“We have to study so we do know where Guatemala is! I don’t know why you’re complaining, Zac and Milo are coming and they got that Catherine and her friends to come too. So, you can drool over the girls while I study.” Tom cheekily replied.

“Sounds fair to me!”

“Hey Tom,” Milo shouted “over here!” The librarian gave him an evil glare but he just stared at her and then looked away.

“So where’s Catherine?” Mike asked inquisitively.

“Over there in the ‘G’ section.” Zac informed.

Mike sprinted over and Tom, Milo and Zac walked slowly behind him. When they got to where the girls were standing they heard a scream as Olivia hit Mike over the head with a book.

“ Zac started running his finger along a shelf then said “Hey what’s this?” He took a book named Guardians off the shelf and everyone gathered around it.

“Well it kind of looks like a book idiot!” Catherine’s aggressive friend Sam said.

“Well open it.” Cath said. Zac slipped his fingers under the cover and slowly pushed it upwards until it fell over the other side. Zac read the only four words on the first page.

“You have been chosen!” A bright flash emitted from the book and the 7 children disappeared into the book.
